CREATE-PRODUCE-DISTRIBUTE A 4-Profit Association
When I came to Colorado in 1978, I left New York at the intersection of the Bowery and 54th Street. I finished playing my weekly set at Trudy Hellers on Bleeker Street, sang a few songs at my performance class at the New School of Social Research, and was told that I could change or leave New York by a bartender at Trudy Hellers. My choices were go Punk or go Disco. Punk was thriving in the Bowery at CBGB's and Disco was "evolving" at Studio 54. The result of my choice was to "Go folk yourself!" And I headed to Denver on the 4th of July 1978. I was 20. I had been in the Arts professionally since 1970. And at the urging of Richard Rodgers, I took up guitar and songwriting when my voice changed ending my child actor era from Broadway to Jones Beach.
Campus and Canvas

I was thinking about that this week, while clearing my canvas and walking around my campus, where I am an artrepreneur in residence in our small town and within an hour radius of bigger small towns. Part of my MBA and Arts Fellowship is learning from books like "Profit First." And Quality First from the Deming Institute. Systematic Creativity is the lesson that I learned at the intersection of the Bowery and 54th Street in 1978. I live in a town where Arts, Culture and Ministry are competing for the same funds at the same time. My non profit Sound Century is one of over 70 not for profit organizations in the community I serve. Today, I draw a line!

As an entrepreneur a recording artist and media professional I have practiced an economical system that I have lived on for 50 years.

CREATE Daily
Produce Daily
Distribute Daily

I have run my companies on CPD since 1970, when I was just a kid. Journalism, Advertising and Music is my JAM. In studying "Profit First" by Mike Michalowicz, I had an epiphany, or maybe an aha moment, I realized that as an Artprenuer, my CREATE daily is also a Produce Daily that is designed to:
4-PROFIT Association
Produce Great Content
Protect Creative Property
Promote Creative Media
Profit Daily
If I CREATE Daily, I must Produce Daily and take it to Market and Distribute Daily! Financially in order to survive and perhaps even thrive, we must CREATE Revenue through royalty channels. CPD is our daily profit margin. I have been concentarting on a Grant mentality for so long with Sound Century and Ana-Digital that I lost sight of not relying on the government and private foundations for survival and relying on my creative- productive and distribution of my creative content and entreprenurial ideas. I am a pioneer of digital- content creation. I started when I became an independent journalist for Associated Content (which was purchased by Yahoo). I moved directly to Philip Anshutz, Examiner titles and tried to do this with radio and podcast. Ownership and Entreprenership is key to success, as is digital media. My Local Press is the latest in revenue streams for journalists, advertisers and musicians, the backbone of media arts. The Leadon Family Foundation and the idea of local chapters is where I will be doing seminars and webinars through Mentor Hill and Media Arts Incubator Network.
