CREATE: A Little Bit of Better Time
As entreprenuers we play our daily game of "What if?" And yet we may tap into an innovative vein by asking "What ever happened to?" There is value in reflection in context. While I ask my friends about people that no longer roam the same ground, I also ask about activities, traditions and customs that made the valley unique.
The Rest of the Story

I met with the board of Valley Park and Recreation. By default the President, Treasuer and Secretary were represented by one diligent and weary woman. "We have a 100 year lease on the old school house. And I cannot do it anymore." I realized that thirty years ago, when I was 38, I was asked to be the manager and run the youth programs, the old Westcliffe School House and History Museum. The Jazz Festival, Community Softball, Soccer, Tennis, and Arts were some of the activities in 1996. As my friend Dick Jones tells me, "People get old, they die and take with them their stretch of the road."

Little by Little
James Taylor sings "and little by little, light after light, that's how it died." I looked at Marci, and I said, "I'll do it." And I am the Executive Director. For the seventy plus not for profit organizations in the Valley, I represent two. And for the entrepreneurial portion of the community I represent three. Yet I have an agenda, "For every non profit in the valley, we should ignite one business that will correspond to solving a known challenge.
